livejournal is gay [03 Mar 2008|08:23pm] yeah so i almost never check this livejournal crap and i probably won't really update very often...but it's been awhile and some people that read this don't read my myspace soooo yeah dustin's grandma passed away on thursday. she was in the hospital for a week, not doing very well. it kinda happened all of the sudden. she was perfectly healthy not even two weeks ago and then all the sudden she was admitted to the hospital and slowly slipped away. they had diagnosed her with COPD due to her smoking and whatnot.....but yeah, i'm not gonna type out the whole story. if you wanna know it, you can read my myspace. haedyn is so big now. he's walking and trying to talk......he's pretty much the cutest little guy ever. i love him sooooo stinkin much. ummm yeah i think that's about all i have for you Comments: Kick Me.

[30 Aug 2007|02:24pm] so things are going pretty awesome.....tomorrow's my birthday so dustin and i are going to evansville to watch the new Halloween movie....it's gonna be swwwwweeet. and we'll prob go out to eat or something...spend some quality time together. by the way, dustin....just wanna let you know that i love you soooooo so much and i know sometimes i don't show it and i'm sorry for that....i promise i'll try ALOT harder!! :) haedyn's going on 9 months old now....he's got the army/scooting/crawling type thing down. it's so cute! and he babbles like crazy. he's trying to learn how to wave right now...it kinda looks like he's got a limp hand...haha. i love that little guy so much! work is going okay i guess...i kinda wanna find a new job because it gets a little stressful sometimes and it really wears you out mentally being around those kids 12-16 hours a day. it's a little unnerving..... anywho....that's about it for now Comments: Kick Me.

[19 Jul 2007|10:25am] geez i really need to update this thing more....i never have time i guess haedyn's 7 months old now! it's crazy how big he's getting. he tries to crawl sooooo bad and he's getting there. he can sit up pretty good and he even knows how to say "hey da da" it's pretty suh-weeeet! :) i love the little guy the youth village thing is going pretty good. it's not too bad i guess. i work 10a-10p 3-4 days a week. they mostly put me to work with the hispanic kids. sometimes it sucks sooooo hardcore but there are a few kids there that are pretty awesome. ummmm that's my life right now in a nutshell i guess you could say. dustin and i are doing just peachy with our little one. later Comments: Kick Me.

[19 Apr 2007|05:30am] HOLLA! it's been a little while...ummmmm lets see, what's new....the hospital job thing was going all well and good, but i decided i wasn't making enough money considering we're going to be paying for daycare and whatnot soon....so i had applied for a job at the youth village like a month ago and they called last week. i had an interview a few days later and they offered me a job on the spot. so yay! i start next week sometime. i'm going to be a youth development specialist. should be interesting. it pays a heck of a lot more than the hospital so that's always good. anyhow....other than that, things aren't too much different. haedyn's getting so big and he's smiling so much now. he tries to "talk" like crazy. he's such a cutie! I <3 him! danielle moved out which makes me sad....but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. she really needs a job so hopefully she can find one in olney. hmmm so i guess that's about it lata! [28 Mar 2007|01:19pm] just thought i'd update here really quickly and the such..... it really sucks that it takes "growing up too fast" to find out who your real friends are. sure, we got married and had a kid (who happens to be the rockin-ist kid in the whole wide world) but that doens't mean we're different people. we still like to do the same things and hang out with the same people.....maybe having a kid causes you to grow up a little and stuff, which is expected...i mean, it's called having responsibilities...but EVERYONE should have responsibilities in at least one area of their life. we're completely content with where our life is going....we're happy that we had haedyn....we love him more than anything...and i'm sorry, but if i had to choose between having our lives like they used to be with friends to hang out with and act stupid with all the time....or having haedyn here to love and spend all my time with and a husband who'll always be there for us...i'd choose my family, no question.....it's just too bad you can't have both...hmmph Comments: 2 bruises - Kick Me.

[12 Feb 2007|09:33am] so things are going pretty awesome and all that jazz....i got a new job. i'm gonna be a catering associate at the hospital. aka the person that brings you you're food when you're lying miserably in a hospital bed. yay for me! i'm pretty excited about it. i've been trying to find more of a day job for a while now because it'd be a little easier than night shifts having a baby and stuff. i'll be working 6:30am to 7pm 3-5 days a week depending on when they can get fully staffed...so yeah....i start 2 weeks from today haedyn's doing pretty amazing....he's getting big. 11 1/2 lbs now. he's growing waaaay too fast. i went to put on one of his 0-3 months outfits today and it's too small :( but he's starting to "talk" now...cute baby goos and gaas and stuff. and he smiles like crazy. i love love love him so much! anyways....that's about it for now Comments: Kick Me.

[03 Feb 2007|11:45am] got our taxes back today....didn't do too bad, but the amount still kinda sucks considering we have a dependent now and whantot....oh well. we'll be able to pay off a little debt so that's always good i guess. not too much is new. i'm back to work now. in fact, i have to work tonight. :( i really miss haedyn when i'm at work. dustin too :) haha. our 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up, the 18th. we're gonna do something awesome hopefully. can't wait. ummmm yeah.....can't think of anything else really later Comments: Kick Me.

[05 Jan 2007|10:09am] so we had the baby :) at 11:40am on the 15th of december. it went really well actually. they started me on the pitocin and whatnot at like 7am and the doctor broke my water at about 8ish i think. it was all okay until around 9:15-10ish when i started feeling the pain and they tried giving me some iv pain medicine but it didn't do anything except make me feel like i was on acid or something....which was a strange, yet somewhat neato feeling....so at around 11am i requested an epidural because i was like flailing around and stuff....dustin was in panic mode. it was so cute :) so they gave me the epidural and the bottom half of my body was soooo numb. it was weird. but haedyn joseph burris was born 40 minutes later. 6lbs 8 oz....21 inches and soooo much hair! i love love love him to death. now he's 7lbs 6 oz....he had jaundice when we left the hospital so he had to stay in this stupid bilibed (like a tanning bed for babies) for the first 2 days...we couldn't hold him at all except to feed and change him. that was the most heartbreaking thing i've ever gone through in my life. but he's better now...i think my sister posted some pics on my myspace but i'll post some more one of these days. later Comments: 2 bruises - Kick Me.

[14 Dec 2006|11:25am] well....we're gonna be parents tomorrow!! i went to the doctor yesterday and he said i'm dilated 1 to 2 centimeters and 50% effaced.....so he said he could induce me friday or i could pick a day next week....so we're going for tomorrow! i go in at 6am and they'll do the IV and start me on pitocin and stuff then the doctor's gonna come break my water later on in the morning. it's pretty exciting! a little scary too though. but it is cool knowing when i'm gonna be in labor. yay! wish us luck and whatnot :) anyway, i'll update someday after we have the baby...who knows how much time we'll have on our hands....hmmmm but you can always call us or come see us or something!! [22 Nov 2006|02:55pm] only approximately 4 more weeks until this baby pops out :) we're so excited....lately we've been doing a lot of baby shopping. we already had basically everything except some little items....so yesterday we got a diaper genie because they're just too cool and we got a high tech baby monitoring system....uuuummm a little play gym thing, etc. dustin's dad, stepmom, and brother visited us monday and tuesday. they came bearing many baby gifts. TONS of clothes and bibs and stuff....then they took us to wal-mart and bought us a new stroller/carseat combo which is AMAZING....they got us a few other things while we were there too like a baby book and bottles and stuff. it was fun. we have like everything and a half now. well...except baby. haha i have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and now i start going weekly...kinda scary. um besides all the baby stuff there's not too much else going on. i guess we'll be going to my dad's for thanksgiving tomorrow and a couple other places friday and saturday. should be fun. good thing i'm already fat. hehe. anywho...... later Comments: 3 bruises - Kick Me.

[25 Oct 2006|12:18pm] it really sucks not having the internet....i barely make it to the libary anymore unless i have bills to pay or something and i wanna pay them online.....hmmm so the concert was awesome...it's almost taken me a month to post about it. haha. but yeah, it was disciple, esterlin, red, and some crappy band....quench, i think. dustin got insanely angry at some immature 16 year olds that could obviously tell that i was pregnant and were trying to start this massive mosh pit. they started banging into me and stuff and they definitely hadn't showered in days. needless to say, dustin wasn't very happy and he let them know this. jaimie and i had the discussion about how you'd think that if people knew they were going to be in a huge crowd of people at a concert they might actually bathe....that's kinda the descent thing to do.....ha. annnnnways....it was still fun. jaimie, kyle, dustin, and i went to this haunted house in evansville a few weeks ago. that was pretty fun. it was actually scary compared to the cheesy local haunted houses i've been to. kyle even pee'd his pants...i think jaimie said she did too. haha pretty much we've just been hanging out with jaimie and kyle when we get the chance...and the most amazing nephew ever, elias. he's super duper cute! :) oh, and kyle, dustin, seth, and zack are trying out the christian band thing now....we'll see how it goes. dustin made it clear that family comes first (eg. baby on the way) soooo yeah. we'll just see....as long as the band respects that and stuff we'll be fine. yep yep well i have a couple appointments this afternoon so i better go. [26 Sep 2006|01:05pm] [ mood | awake ] i so wish i had a computer at home.....:( we gave ours to dustin's mom and she's taking over the payments. that eliminates one bill for us to pay. oh well......someday we'll get another one probably. so the baby thing is going pretty great. he's learned how to make my stomach protrude and it looks like an alien is trying to escape from my body, like in those horror movies. it's sooooo cool :) we only have 3 months left. it seems like forever, but i know time will probably fly by. i'm getting sooooo scared about labor and all that jazz. this weekend we're going to a disciple concert in terre haute....there's like 3 opening bands also. it's gonna rock like crazy! i just recently bought their latest cd (which came out forever ago) and fell in love with it. i never used to be a huge fan of them or anything, but i started getting their songs in my head so i went and bought the cd and now i'm in love. well anyway...i've got things to do and stuff later Comments: 5 bruises - Kick Me.

[07 Sep 2006|04:44pm] it's getting closer and closer to the time for this baby to pop out....:)  only like 3 1/2 more months or something like that.  i've been hanging out with jaimie every once in a while with her little cutie and i'm gaining some experience with newborns.....somewhat.  it's fun and he's soooooo cute!   the doctor told us we have one more monthly appointment and then it goes to every 2 weeks......so that definitely means we're getting closer!! geeez.....i'm kinda nervous.   so yeah....right now i'm pretty much just hanging out at the library while dustin (the bug man) sprays it for pests and such..... anyway-that's about all i have for now later Comments: 4 bruises - Kick Me.

[28 Aug 2006|10:28am] [ mood | excited ] so...jaimie had her baby!! saturday the 26th at around 7:40pm....he was 7ibs 14oz....i'm not sure what length. and his name is Elias Matthew....he's soooo cute!! i'd go into detail about the labor and stuff....but pretty much it was super easy. i hope mine goes as well. she was only in pain for like 3 hours or so....they had to break her water to get it going faster and 3 and a half hours later she had a baby. it was really quick. anyway...i have a pic....ok nevermind i don't.  i can't upload it directly onto livejournal and myspace and yafro are blocked webpages on the public libraries computers.  grrrr....well i'll post some pics later or something.... anywho.....we close on our house tomorrow.  so it'll officially be ours!!  we're pretty excited about it.  our own home :) yay and then we go to the doc again on thursday so that's always fun.  i'm sooooo getting round.  i love it :) well...that's all for now later Comments: 3 bruises - Kick Me.

[08 Aug 2006|01:48pm] [ mood | excited ] so we found out what we're having: it's a boy!! so that's exciting :) well....the doctor said he had "almost no doubt" that it was a boy. i'm sure there's a small chance that it could be wrong, because there always is....but he's probably right. so yeah....i wanted a girl at first...but here lately i've thought that having a boy would be awesome because jaimie's having a boy...they could do boyish things together and whatnot. yay! but yeah....the house thing is going good so far. we've signed all the paperwork we need to sign for now and all we have to do now is wait for the underwriter in indy to officially approve our loan. then it's pretty much ours! we should know by the end of the week so wish us luck!!! welllllll i'm gonna head off Comments: 8 bruises - Kick Me.

[02 Aug 2006|01:54pm] [ mood | anxious ] [ music | underoath ] so dustin and i are in the process of buying a house. we're really excited about it!! it's a 2 bedroom....and it has a living room, dining room, 1 bathroom and a kitchen. it has a small basement, but we haven't seen it yet. it was just partially remodeled so it's pretty decent. but yeah, we're going through the loan process right now and dealing with the realtor. the bank pre-qualified us and all that jazz...now we just have to play the whole waiting game thing. but we're hoping if everything works out we should be able to close the deal by the end of this month or beginning of next. :) we go to the doctor tomorrow. we're hoping we can find out what we're having...we'll see. if not, that's okay....probably next time. i just wanna make sure everything's going smoothly. i'm getting big. it's sooooo great! i finally LOOK pregnant. yay! annnnnyways....that's all i have for now later Comments: Kick Me.

[11 Jul 2006|12:23pm] [ mood | crazy ] yay! so danielle is in town for a short period of time. so we've been hanging out and stuff. yesterday we went with her to olney and visited random people. today we ate lunch with ryan and joey and now we're at the library like the losers that we are. haha. we might go play in the rain soon if it's still raining when we leave here. wouldn't that be a good time? dustin and i went to the doctor last thursday. everything's going good. turns out the baby's due sooner than we thought. only like a week sooner, but still....the new due date is december 22nd. so that's super i guess. he did an ultrasound which was soooo exciting!! we actually got to see our little alien :) thats what it looks like at this point in time. or as dustin says, the predator. hehe. but it was a good time. ummmmm so not too much else is going on. just work and all that good stuff. but yeah....later Comments: 8 bruises - Kick Me.

[28 Jun 2006|08:19am] [ mood | awake ] i hate not having the internet at home. i miss going online whenever i want! grrr oh well.... um so we have our first doctor's appointment here in vincennes next thursday. i'm glad they could get me in so soon. i'm too anxious to wait forever like i had to for my very first appointment. i've been hanging out with jaimie a lot lately. that's fun. she's sooo big :) it's funny. even i'm starting to show a little bit. the other day i had my very first person ask me if we're having a baby....i'm soooo glad they didn't just think that i was chubby. hehe. because i'm in that stage kinda. but i guess the only chubbiness i have is in my belly and it definitely looks more like baby than chub. i bought a new car the other day. wellll a 2000. it's sooo cute!! it's a daewoo lanos. it needs quite a bit of work but it was only 200 bucks so it's gonna be worth the money we put into it to fix it up. then it'll be freakin awesome. :) we got the new underoath cd. well...my mom and i got it for dustin for his b-day. it's soooooooooo amazing!! i love it times a zillion! supposedly, according to sources, dustin was mad at zack? it's funny how neither of us knew anything about that. hmmph. people amaze me. ah well....as long as zack now knows that he really isn't and never has been. strange... well i'm gonna go Comments: Kick Me.

[21 Jun 2006|09:39am] well we're living back in vincennes now. it was this random spontaneous decision we made while on our way to visit dustin's mom for his b-day last week. we were discussing how we weren't doing as well as we could be in vandalia and how we needed me working. so i knew i could get my old job back. therefore we decided to move back. it wasn't that we didn't like it there persay, we just feel like we could do better in vincennes for now. anywho...dustin is now a pest control *uses voice of ah-nold* EXTERMINATOR!! yay. how awesome is that? and i got my job back at KCARC. i start tonight. this time i'm doing it as ER so i can make more money an hour, but be part time. which actually is turning into more like full time because this week i'm already gonna have over 40 hours. how awesome is that? i wanna find out what the baby is sooooo soon! i can't go to the doctor til hoosier healthwise approves me for sure and i get a card. so i have to wait until then to make an appointment. grrrrr. um so we're living at dustin's mom's right now. so that's where you can find us to hang out or whatever. later Comments: 1 bruise - Kick Me.

[05 Jun 2006|03:06pm] well we had our first doctors appointment last week. it didn't go quite as we had planned. the doctor told us she usually doesn't do an ultrasound until 20 weeks and at that time she should be able to tell us the sex and everything. and she didn't pick up the heartbeat this time because it was a liiiitle too early still. so we didn't get the cute little picture of the baby or anything. just the normal exam and stuff. and then she sent me to the hospital to have a blood test. :( but next time we should be able to hear the heartbeat so that's exciting! :) this weekend we went to fairview heights so my mom could buy this jacket at the mall. we looked around for a little while and then pretty much spent the rest of the weekend at home. next sunday we're meeting my grandparents for lunch and then heading to vincennes to spend dustin's b-day there. so that should be fun. that's about it for now Comments: 3 bruises - Kick Me.
